Repair Report
Initial Inspection Findings
Amplifier remained in protection with the relay not engaging. Output stage and driver pairs tested healthy. Aging electrolytic capacitors and weak small-signal glass diodes in the bias and protection circuits were identified as the cause of the protect fault.
Repair Actions Completed
Replaced small electrolytic capacitors in the signal, driver, and protection sections with audio-grade parts. Replaced glass signal diodes in the bias and protection network. Performed cleaning, solder reflow, and thermal compound refresh where needed. Set bias and DC offset to specification and verified protection timing. Completed extended burn-in and stability checks.
