Pioneer PL-560 Turntable
Findings
Three electrolytic capacitors on the motor control board were leaking or out of tolerance. These were replaced to restore motor function. Motor speed and torque are now stable. The RCA cables were cut and have been replaced with new working RCAs.
Feet are not correct for this model. They do not match factory spec. I can source replacements or 3D-print a custom set. This does not stop the repair process.
Recommendations
- Replace remaining electrolytic capacitors (full recap) and perform deep cleaning and lubrication.
- Replace feet (sourced originals) or install custom 3D-printed feet per customer preference.
- Validate operation, speed, and tonearm after service; install cartridge for final testing.
